Captain's Day at
Padeswood & Buckley
The Weather forecast for the day was heavy
rain showers and thunder/lightening. But the sun at Padeswood & Buckley
would only shine through and match the beaming smile of our Captain

The course & hospitality were very
good, our thanks to all at the clubn, who looked after us so well.
The scoring matched the course quality
with Craig Hughes taking
both the Captain's Prize and the Scratch

TSB Trophy Pryors Hayes
An eventful day for the small, but select
gathering. The weather was quite
kind, with just a few showers, although the course was very wet from recent
heavy rain - as the buggy riders found, when their buggy got stuck in
the mud. Fortunately two younger local members helped to rescue it.
An exceptional score of 107pts was achieved
by Rick due to his rather generous handicap allowance of 111! The highlight
being a 2 for 8 points on the 9th hole.
Back in the real world the course playing long took its toll and these
are the lowest scores I can recall.
However, Barry Heaps coped the best
with 29 points to take the TSB trophy, from Allan
Simon on 28pts, Robin Browne 27pts
& Rick Hawkley 26 pts on cpo from Craig
Hughes. Elaine Warwick won the Captain's special
prize in 7th position.
There were two two's:
Barry on 7th & Rick on
9th (prizes to be awarded next time.)
Pryors Hayes looked after us well and the
food was good - many thanks.
Ours thanks go to Captain Olive
Watson, David Owen, Barry Heaps, Lynda Mellor, Graham Fifoot, Rick Hawkley
& Robin Browne.

Cheshire and joined CCOGS. I'm not sure how many people will remember
him as I do not think he was a member very long. Walter will represent
the Society at his funeral which is on 16th February at 1.20, Blacon Crem'.
